The More We Get Together

The more we get together, together, together.

The more we get together the happier we’ll be.

For your friends are my friends, and my friends are your friends.

The more we get together the happier we’ll be.

Wiggles

A wiggle wiggle here,

A wiggle wiggle there,

Wiggle your hands up in the air.

Wiggle your shoulders,

Wiggle your hips,

Wiggle your knees,

And move your lips.

Wiggle, Wiggle, Wiggle.

And wiggle some more –

And now lets sit down on the floor.

Clap, Clap, Clap your Hands

Clap Clap Clap your hands

Clap your hands together

Clap Clap Clap your hands

Clap your hands together.

Jump jump jump up high….

Spin Spin Spin around….

Wave wave wave goodbye….

My Hands

My hands say thank you with a clap clap clap

My feet say thank you with a tap tap tap

Clap Clap Clap

Tap Tap Tap

Turn myself around and bow.

Thank you.

Fireworks On New Year’s Day (PerpetualPreschool.com)

5 little children waiting to see,

Fireworks on this New Year’s Eve.

One saw the fireworks and what did she say?

“Happy New Year to you this day!”

You then count down like the 5 Little Monkeys. Have the numbers and 5 kids on the board. As we count down we pull the number 5 off to find the number 4 etc. . . and pull off one child each time!

Out with the Old, In with the New
(Mary Had A Little Lamb) (thebestkidsbooksite.com)
This year’s drawing to an end,
To an end, to an end.
This year’s drawing to an end.
Soon we’ll start a new one.

Out with the old, in with the new,
In with the new, in with the new,
Out with the old and in with the new,
On January 1st.

Hickory, Dickory, Dock (from “Literate Beginnings” by Jeffery)

Hickory, Dickory, Dock,

The mouse ran up the clock,

The clock struck one and

The mouse ran down.

Hickory, Dickory dock.

Hickory, Dickory, Dock,

The mouse ran up the clock,

The clock struck two and

The mouse said Boo!

Hickory, Dickory dock.

Hickory, Dickory, Dock,

The mouse ran up the clock,

The clock struck three and

The mouse ran Weee!

Hickory, Dickory dock.

Art Ideas: (All PerpetualPreschool.com)

  • Fireworks painting: Use coffee filters or round paper plates that fit into the bottom of a salad spinner. Make paint extra wet and have child drip paint from brush onto paper plate or coffee filter at the bottom of salad spinner. They put on the lid and let them spin. Looks like fire works when you take it out. The kids love to spin it fast, slow etc.
  • Use popsicle sticks and glue pieces of colored paper at one end to make sparklers.
